Pune Felicitation Ceremony Celebrates the Dedicated Contribution of Therapists During the Ashadhi Wari
Pune, August 24, 2026: Healthcare support during one of Maharashtra’s most significant pilgrimages has received international recognition with Maha Arogya Wari 2026 being declared a World Record by the London Book of World Records. The initiative, conducted by Zep Multimedia Alternative Medicine Institute under the leadership and concept of Mr. Sanjay Genu Kadu, brought together hundreds of trained therapists to provide pain-relief services to Warkaris during the Ashadhi Wari.
The achievement was celebrated at a special World Record Certificate Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony held on August 24, 2026, at Maratha Chambers of Commerce in Pune. The event recognized the collective efforts of the therapists, organizers and supporters who participated in the healthcare initiative.
Maha Arogya Wari 2026 was conducted from July 7 to July 26, 2026. During this period, more than 250 trained therapists from different parts of Maharashtra participated in the campaign. They provided services at multiple locations along the Wari route and in Pandharpur, where large numbers of Warkaris gathered during the pilgrimage.
The initiative was built around the motto “No Medicine • No Pills • Natural Pain-Relief Therapy.” Its objective was to provide pain-relief support through natural therapy approaches while pilgrims undertook their long and physically demanding journey.
According to the organizers, the initiative provided pain-relief treatment to 120,354 Warkaris. The scale of the reported participation and service delivery became a defining feature of the campaign and contributed to its recognition by the London Book of World Records.
The achievement was not limited to the organizers. A large network of therapists contributed to the campaign, working at different locations throughout the Wari. Their involvement allowed the initiative to reach pilgrims across several points of the pilgrimage route and extend services to Pandharpur.
The World Record recognition was formally acknowledged during the Pune ceremony. Along with the presentation associated with the record, more than 75 therapists were specially felicitated for their performance during the initiative. They were presented with certificates and mementos as a mark of appreciation for their contribution.
The felicitation ceremony brought together a number of distinguished personalities. Among those present were Mr. Mahesh Thorave, Director, MIT; Dr. Priya, Founder Director, Metowe Mission; Mr. Anand Yadav, Treasurer, India Society for Study Incorporation; Dr. Arvind Sakunde, International President, International Human Rights Ambassador Organization; HBP Chandrakant More; and Mr. Sanjay Genu Kadu, Director, Zep Multimedia and National President, Paramparik Vaidya Association.
The guests acknowledged the efforts of the therapists and appreciated their dedication to serving Warkaris. Their participation was highlighted as an important part of the initiative’s overall success, demonstrating the role that trained professionals can play when they come together for a community-focused healthcare effort.
The physical nature of the Ashadhi Wari makes healthcare support an important consideration for many pilgrims. Warkaris often travel considerable distances as part of the pilgrimage, and the journey can involve prolonged walking and physical exertion. Maha Arogya Wari 2026 was structured to bring pain-relief services closer to the pilgrims during this journey.
By positioning therapists along the Wari route and in Pandharpur, the initiative created a service network designed around the movement of the pilgrims. This approach allowed participating therapists to contribute their expertise in a setting beyond conventional clinics and healthcare facilities.
The campaign also underlined the concept of service through professional skills. Instead of treating healthcare solely as a commercial activity, the initiative focused on making the expertise of trained therapists available to a large community during a significant public gathering.
For Zep Multimedia Alternative Medicine Institute, the World Record recognition represents a significant achievement. The institute’s leadership and participating therapists worked together to execute a campaign involving hundreds of professionals and a large number of beneficiaries within a limited period.
The Pune ceremony consequently became both a celebration and a recognition event. While the World Record provided a formal acknowledgment of the initiative, the felicitation of more than 75 therapists brought individual contributors into focus.
