Andhra Pradesh’s Manufacturing Ambitions Find a Strong Ally in Winwin Speciality Insulators

Among them is Winwin Speciality Insulators Limited (WSIL), which emerged as one of just four MSMEs selected to showcase its capabilities directly to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, during the MSME Growth Summit 2026 held at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Kala Vedika in Vijayawada.

Representing India’s electrical transmission & distribution equipment sector, WSIL stood alongside leading innovators from aerospace, EMI shielding and precision pressure die-casting—reflecting the state’s growing emphasis on advanced manufacturing and export-driven industrial growth.

The summit, built around Andhra Pradesh’s “One Family-One Entrepreneur” vision, brought together policymakers, technology leaders and financial institutions to discuss the next phase of industrial expansion. Central to this strategy is the creation of 175 dedicated MSME and Industrial Parks aimed at enabling Indian enterprises to compete at a global scale through stronger infrastructure, better logistics and manufacturing support.

It was against this backdrop that WSIL presented its contribution to one of the world’s fastest-growing industries—power transmission.

During his interaction with the Chief Minister, Director and CEO Aaditya Yalamarty outlined the company’s position within the global electro-ceramics industry.

“Only a handful of manufacturers worldwide possess the expertise to engineer extra-high voltage porcelain insulation solutions for transmission systems operating up to the emerging 1200 kV class. WSIL is proud to be among them,” he said.

Operating from its 47.77-acre automated manufacturing facility in the Atchutapuram APSEZ, the company has steadily expanded its global footprint by serving utilities and infrastructure developers seeking diversified, high-quality manufacturing partners beyond traditional supply chains.

The interaction also highlighted the company’s continued investment in research and development. The Chief Minister enquired about the technological advantages of WSIL’s products and their competitiveness in international markets.

The company demonstrated how its specialized grey TR-series porcelain insulators deliver performance comparable with leading European manufacturers while offering greater cost efficiencies. This combination has enabled WSIL to strengthen its presence in demanding markets such as North America, where rapid investments in utilities and data center infrastructure continue to drive demand for reliable high-voltage components.

Following the presentation, the Minister for Industries and Commerce Mr. TG Bharath, along with the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Mr. Srinivas Kondapalli, interacted with the founding team to understand the company’s long-term expansion plans. The conversation also touched upon WSIL’s ongoing engagement with APTRANSCO, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the modernization of Andhra Pradesh’s own power transmission infrastructure alongside its international business.

With advanced port connectivity, one of South Asia’s advanced kilns, highly automated production systems and sustained investment in material science research, WSIL is steadily positioning itself as a significant player in the global energy infrastructure supply chain.

Beyond manufacturing excellence, the company is also investing in workforce development, with plans to increase female participation on its shop floor to 50 percent by 2030—reflecting a broader commitment to building an inclusive and future-ready industrial ecosystem.
