Agra Social Worker Dr. Vijay Kishore Bansal’s Mother, Mrs. Indra Bansal, Passes Away; Condolence Meetings Draw Large Gathering
Agra, May 12: Mrs. Indra Bansal, mother of noted Agra-based social worker and industrialist Dr. Vijay Kishore Bansal, passed away on Sunday morning, drawing condolences from members of the city’s social, religious, and business communities. The news of her demise was met with grief among people associated with various social service and community welfare activities in the city.
A large number of people visited the family residence in Vijay Nagar Colony to pay their respects and extend condolences to the bereaved family. Her last rites were performed in the evening at the Tajganj Electric Crematorium in the presence of family members, relatives, representatives of social organizations, and several prominent citizens.
On Monday, a condolence meeting was organized at Samadhi Park in Surya Nagar, Khandari, where people from different walks of life gathered to offer tributes and pray for peace for the departed soul.
Mrs. Indra Bansal was remembered as a simple, compassionate, and values-driven personality who remained connected with social and religious activities for many years. People close to the family said she strongly believed in family values, harmony, and helping others, and inspired those around her through her calm and affectionate nature.
Dr. Vijay Kishore Bansal, widely known in Agra for his involvement in social and religious welfare initiatives, has been associated with various community service activities over the years, including support for educational, religious, and gaushala-related initiatives. Several attendees at the condolence meeting stated that the spirit of service and humanitarian values reflected in his public work was deeply influenced by his mother’s teachings and upbringing.
Members of social organizations, trade associations, and community groups expressed sorrow over the loss and said Mrs. Bansal’s life and values would continue to inspire future generations. They noted that while her demise has created a void among those who knew her, her warmth, humility, and humane outlook will always remain cherished in public memory.
The bereaved family includes her husband Giriraj Kishore Bansal; son Dr. Vijay Kishore Bansal and daughter-in-law Dolly Bansal; daughters Poonam Agarwal, Ritu Prakash, and Rekha Agarwal along with their families.
