LAKMĒ AND TIRA COME TOGETHER TO PRESENT PÉRO FOR THE OPENING SHOW OF LAKMĒ FASHION WEEK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FASHION DESIGN COUNCIL OF INDIA

The Fashion Design Council of India and Lakmé Fashion Week Opening showcase will be with celebrated fashion house péro in a magnificent confluence of fashion and beauty in the spirit of Dressing up

New Delhi, October 2026: The opening night of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI will begin with an invitation to step outside the expected. LAKMĒ × Tira will unveil péro’s Spring Summer 2027, bringing together fashion, beauty, craft and imagination for an opening showcase that celebrates the freedom of Dream and dress up.

At the heart of the evening is a coming together of distinct creative worlds, each with its own point of view. péro approaches getting dressed up as a possibility and a way to dream and express oneself, while the LAKMĒ × Tira association brings beauty into the conversation, where fashion inspires and beauty transforms, translating ideas from the runway into new expressions of beauty.  Together, they set the stage for an opening showcase that celebrates the many ways in which fashion and beauty allow individuals to explore and express themselves.

For Spring Summer 2027, péro steps into a world shaped by curiosity and imagination. The collection begins with the idea of a box as a metaphor for the worlds and boundaries we construct around ourselves. Yet a box is ultimately made to be opened. Beyond its edges lies the freedom to dream, explore and discover new possibilities.

The collection takes shape through relaxed silhouettes designed for movement, ease and expression. Nothing is body-bound, gender becomes fluid, colour belongs to everyone and getting dressed becomes an invitation to play. Mixing, layering and experimentation are at the heart of the collection, bringing together péro’s signature craft with a sense of play and imagination.

Speaking on the the opening showcase, Aneeth Arora, Founder & Designer, péro, said, “We are delighted to be the opening show of FDCI x LAKMĒ Fashion Week, and this association will always be special to us. At péro, we have always believed in approaching design with curiosity, craft and a sense of play. It feels wonderful to bring that spirit to the platform with the upcoming presentation.”

Beyond the runway, the opening showcase also marks a significant moment in the LAKMĒ × Tira association, bringing together two leading names in beauty through a collaboration that extends the conversation around beauty, discovery and self-expression. As the Beauty Partner, Tira looks beyond the runway to decode the colours, textures, moods and techniques emerging from fashion and translate them into new avenues for beauty discovery.

The péro opening showcase brings this philosophy to life, with the designer’s distinctive language of craft, colour and experimentation creating a natural canvas for the beauty conversation. Fashion inspires, beauty transforms,  and Tira brings this interplay to life by translating the colours, textures, moods and creative cues of the runway into the next wave of beauty discovery.

Sunanda Khaitan, CMO, Beauty & Wellbeing, HUL, shared, “The opening of Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI has always been an opportunity to set the creative tone for the season and bring fashion and beauty together in new ways. With LAKMĒ × Tira present péro, we are bringing together three complementary strengths: péro’s distinctive, craft-led approach to self-expression, LAKMĒ’s beauty expertise, and Tira’s role in making discovery and experimentation more accessible to today’s beauty consumer. We see a clear shift away from prescriptive ideas of beauty towards a more personal and fluid approach, where consumers want the freedom to explore different looks, moods, and identities. The LAKMĒ 9to5 HYA Glam Range is designed for exactly this kind of versatility, made for that effortless 5 PM glam reset, making beauty intuitive and adaptable to different moments. This partnership allows us to bring that idea to life at the intersection of fashion, beauty and discovery.”

Making its fashion week debut is the new Lakmē 9to5 HYA Glam Range, built around the ‘5PM Glam Reset’ for lives that move seamlessly from workdays into evenings. As part of the collection, the Lakmē 9to5 HYA Glam Lip & Cheek Blush will be launched exclusively on Tira, a versatile, multi-use hydrating lip and cheek blush that delivers a naturally flushed look with a hydrated matte finish.

Speaking about Tira’s association with the opening showcase, Bhakti Modi, CEO & Co-founder, Tira, said, “Fashion and beauty are two powerful forms of self expression. Our association with Lakmē Fashion Week and FDCI brings that intersection to life and lets us show how beauty moves with us, across every moment, mood and role. At Tira, we believe there’s no single way to experience beauty. It’s personal, it’s evolving, and it’s truly For Every You. Through this partnership, we want to inspire everyone to discover, experiment and find their own expression of beauty and style.”

Sunil Sethi, Chairman, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), shared, “The Fashion Design Council and Lakme Fashion Week choose a designer each season for the Opening Show that we feel is pushing forward craft and creativity in Indian fashion. Pero is a brand that consistently delivers the most talked about showcases at the platform. This showcase places a distinctive design voice paired with an exciting convergence of fashion and beauty and makes for a compelling start to our season. We look forward to a grand showcase and welcome Tira to the platform.”

Speaking about the opening showcase, Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President, Reliance Brands Limited, said, “The platform has always created space for meaningful collaborations that bring different parts of the fashion and beauty ecosystem together. This association with Tira adds a new dimension to that journey this season, and we are delighted to see it take shape through an opening showcase with péro. Aneeth Arora has built a distinctive design language rooted in craft, imagination and individuality, making péro a fitting voice to lead us into the season. It is a strong coming together of three distinct identities, each bringing its own perspective to the opening night.”
