NMDC Telangana Premier Golf League Season VI inaugurated

Hyderabad, October 22, 2026: The Hyderabad Golf Association (HGA) inaugurated NMDC Telangana Premier Golf League (TPGL) Season VI on Sunday, October 18, with Mr. Amitava Mukherjee, Chairman and Managing Director, NMDC, as Chief Guest; Mr. Faheem Qureshi as Distinguished Guest of Honour; former India cricketer Murali Kartik as Guest of Honour; and former India cricketer Venkatapathy Raju as the league’s Brand Ambassador.

Bigger, Bolder, Better

16 teams, 192 golfers and five distinctive formats promise an exciting championship

The ceremony featured the trophy and team jersey unveilings, bringing together team owners, captains, players, sponsors and the HGA community.

Under the theme “Bigger, Bolder, Better,” Season VI will run from October 24 to November 22, featuring 16 teams and 192 golfers. Each team has a 12-player squad, with 10 players competing in each qualifying round.

Five different formats will test teamwork, precision, strategy and individual performance:

Each team faces every group rival across the three doubles rounds. In the final qualifier, fourballs feature one player from each team, creating three simultaneous singles contests for every golfer. All five qualifying rounds carry equal points weight, keeping every format significant in the race for qualification.

The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals on November 11, followed by the semifinals on November 15 and the final on November 22. Knockout ties combine four singles and two better-ball doubles matches, adding further tactical variety.
