On August 11, while the film’s commercial performance was still relatively modest, Jagjit Singh Walia publicly posted a forecast on Facebook stating: “The media and entertainment world will progress, and new milestones will be established.”
His interpretation was based on a combination of planetary factors, including Venus entering Virgo in Hasta Nakshatra, the seventh aspect of retrograde Saturn and other prevailing planetary combinations. According to Walia, the significance of the period could not be assessed simply by observing that Venus was debilitated in Virgo. His analysis also considered Saturn’s retrograde aspect, the influence of the nakshatra and the interaction of multiple planetary factors.
The subsequent success of Hanuman Ansh has led followers and astrology enthusiasts to revisit the timing of the prediction. Astrology, however, cannot establish that a planetary configuration caused the film’s commercial success. The significance of the episode lies instead in the fact that Walia’s forecast was publicly recorded before the film’s eventual breakthrough, allowing readers to compare the prediction with subsequent developments.

The attention surrounding the August forecast follows another prediction made by Walia in July 2026 concerning white-coloured food commodities.
While discussing retrograde Saturn’s movement through Revati Nakshatra, governed by Mercury, Walia had predicted that commodities such as rice, sugar and milk could experience significant developments involving prices, availability or public controversy. Subsequent developments in August brought both sugar and rice into the national conversation.
Sugar prices in India reached record levels, with reports indicating that prices had risen by approximately 20 per cent over two months. The government subsequently directed sugar mills to maintain adequate supplies and keep prices under control.
At around the same time, a political controversy emerged in Delhi concerning subsidised rice. The Aam Aadmi Party alleged that a proposed arrangement could become a ₹22,000-crore scam over three years. The allegation was rejected by the minister concerned, who also threatened legal action. The ₹22,000-crore figure therefore remains a political allegation and should not be treated as an established or judicially proven scam. Separately, the CBI registered an FIR concerning alleged irregularities in rice allocation, with an estimated loss of approximately ₹28.87 crore to the public exchequer.
